War Diary of 61st Recce – the rest of the war diary of 61st Reconnaissance Regiment appears to be have been lost. However, Anthony Rampling remembers the whole war diary being viewed at regimental re-unions some years after the war. Tony and many others took copies of parts of diary. Anthony lent his copy of the D Day and Normandy sections to someone and it was never returned. He now holds only this section on ‘The Island’, kindly copied to me for use on this blog.
